The vetting standard
Trust, checked.
Then checked again.
Anyone can claim they're trustworthy. ReferLi providers prove it — before they appear, and for as long as they stay.
01
Identity
Government-ID verification. The person you book is the person who arrives — not a profile, a person.
02
Background
Criminal background screening through an accredited partner, with a fair, lawful review process.
03
Insurance
Proof of coverage, verified by us — not self-attested, not a checkbox.
04
References
Real past clients, called by us. We ask the questions you would.
05
Interview
A human conversation with our team — the judgment no form captures.
06
License
Trade licenses checked and expiry-tracked wherever the work requires one.
Not every job needs every check — and we say which.
A math tutor and an in-home aide carry different risks, so each service category declares its own requirements — and shows them. One line is absolute: in-home care for children or seniors always requires background AND identity clearance. No exceptions. No overrides — not even by us.
Vetting that never stops.
Passing once isn't the standard — staying passed is. If a check lapses — insurance expires, a license runs out — the provider comes off the platform automatically, and stays off until it's cured. Not after a review cycle. Automatically.
The badge that can't lie
Every verification badge on a profile is generated from the verification record itself. There is no way for a provider — or for us — to hand-place one.
What we don't do
We don't sell ranking. Search order is earned — work quality, reliability, responsiveness — never purchased. Anything featured is labeled as featured. Always.
